VBS!  Attention Kids and Parents: we are trying something new this year for Bible School. We will be traveling to Good Earth Village for a "Bible School Camp Out" that is being planned for the first weekend in August. We are still in the beginning stages of planning, but are looking for adults who would like to help with crafts, music, worship, and to just have fun in the sun with a wonderful bunch of kids!  There will be creek splashing, hiking, games, smores, wagon rides, crafts, worship and music by the fire. An all church potluck will be held on Saturday evening, August 1st at GEV as part of the closing program. If you would like to help out please contact Holly or Andrea.

COWBOY CHURCH SERVICE! For the summer only we’ll be adding a second monthly Cowboy Church service on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. Our next Cowboy Church Service will be held next Wednesday (June 17th) in Cherry Grove beginning at 7 p.m. Tony Tuhacek, Barb Mosher and Denise Hays will be among the musicians we are expecting.  A sign up sheet for bars and helpers is in the foyer.

JANITORS POSITION! With some of the money that will be saved by entering into this new co-operative parish Cherry Grove would like to hire a janitor.  We envision this position requiring 10 to 12 hours per week (on average) and it will be salaried.  Please let Pastor Mark know a.s.a.p. if you would like to be considered for the position.

Pastor Bill Rowen of Faith United Methodist Church is retiring and his last service will be on this morning, June 14, 2009.  A special retirement party is being planned. All are invited to join the Faith UMC Congregation immediately after the church service at 10:15 a.m. as they honor Pastor Bill for his many years of dedicated service to our Lord. There will be a program and refreshments will be served.

Sarah is updating the Fountain UMC website, and would like to add pictures of church activities with people in them.  If you have any pictures that we could use please get them to Pastor Mark.  Digital photos can be emailed to the office at cgumc@frontiernet.net
